Our position
AxonTerra Limited’s policy is to reject forced labour, human trafficking and exploitation in its own activities and business relationships. Commercial opportunity must be pursued with respect for people’s rights and dignity.
Where this applies
The policy applies to directors, employees, contractors and anyone acting on behalf of the business. It also informs the selection of suppliers, introducers and other commercial partners. It sets the standard expected of the business and is not a report of completed checks or training.
Proportionate checks
The process considers the identity and legitimacy of counterparties, the nature and location of the activity, labour risks and the transparency of intermediary chains. Higher-risk relationships require further evidence and appropriate specialist input before proceeding.
Expectations of partners
Partners should use lawful recruitment and employment practices, avoid coercion and improper retention of identity documents, and cooperate with reasonable enquiries about exploitation risks. Relevant contractual protections and escalation routes should be agreed according to the relationship.
Raising a concern
Concerns may be addressed confidentially to the Directors, AxonTerra Limited, Exchange at Somerset House, Strand, London, WC2R 1LA. A dedicated reporting contact will be confirmed before public launch. The policy prohibits retaliation against anyone raising a concern in good faith. Where there is immediate danger, contact the emergency services.
Response and responsibility
The policy requires us to record and assess concerns, protect affected people where possible, seek appropriate advice and cooperate with relevant authorities. A relationship may be paused or ended where risks cannot responsibly be resolved. The directors are responsible for implementing and periodically reviewing this policy.
Policy and annual statement
This policy is separate from an annual statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Whether a statutory statement is required depends on the applicable criteria; if required, it must describe the relevant financial year and follow the necessary approval, signature and publication process.
