Commercial opportunity must be pursued with respect for people\u2019s rights and dignity.<\/p><\/section><section class=\"policy-section\" id=\"policy-where-this-applies\" aria-labelledby=\"policy-where-this-applies-title\"><h2 id=\"policy-where-this-applies-title\">Where this applies<\/h2><p>The policy applies to directors, employees, contractors and anyone acting on behalf of the business. It also informs the selection of suppliers, introducers and other commercial partners. It sets the standard expected of the business and is not a report of completed checks or training.<\/p><\/section><section class=\"policy-section\" id=\"policy-proportionate-checks\" aria-labelledby=\"policy-proportionate-checks-title\"><h2 id=\"policy-proportionate-checks-title\">Proportionate checks<\/h2><p>The process considers the identity and legitimacy of counterparties, the nature and location of the activity, labour risks and the transparency of intermediary chains. Higher-risk relationships require further evidence and appropriate specialist input before proceeding.<\/p><\/section><section class=\"policy-section\" id=\"policy-expectations-of-partners\" aria-labelledby=\"policy-expectations-of-partners-title\"><h2 id=\"policy-expectations-of-partners-title\">Expectations of partners<\/h2><p>Partners should use lawful recruitment and employment practices, avoid coercion and improper retention of identity documents, and cooperate with reasonable enquiries about exploitation risks. Relevant contractual protections and escalation routes should be agreed according to the relationship.<\/p><\/section><section class=\"policy-section\" id=\"policy-raising-a-concern\" aria-labelledby=\"policy-raising-a-concern-title\"><h2 id=\"policy-raising-a-concern-title\">Raising a concern<\/h2><p>Concerns may be addressed confidentially to the Directors, AxonTerra Limited, Exchange at Somerset House, Strand, London, WC2R 1LA. A dedicated reporting contact will be confirmed before public launch. The policy prohibits retaliation against anyone raising a concern in good faith. A relationship may be paused or ended where risks cannot responsibly be resolved.
